Meeting This Week This week the girl’s troop will have their troop Court of Honor. Families are invited to attend. The boy’s troop will have a regular meeting this Thursday.
Church Work Day The church has its spring workday this Saturday, May 11th, from 8am to 1pm. They need help spreading mulch, cutting down branches and small trees around the church property, cleaning the fountain pump, as well as some light indoor maintenance. Come out and help give back to the church for all they do for us. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Summer Camp Updates CAMP FORMS DUE BY MAY 30TH – No exceptions we have 64 registered to process ( ( )

Forms specific to participation: 1. COPE, Climbing ACE Consent and Hold Harmless Form ( 2. Cowboy Action Hold Harmless Form ( 3. Special Diet Request Form ( 4. Pre-Camp Swim Classification Record ( (If swim check is done outside of the Troop) 5. Scuba ( & Snorkeling Forms ( (I don’t believe anyone is signed up) 6. Family night: Family name, how many, and a check written to: “Dan Beard Council” ($8 per person, kids 6 and under are free)

Evan Hill’s Eagle Project My name is Evan Hill, and I am a Life Scout here in the troop. On May 18th, at 8:00am, I will be having my Eagle Project at Fort Ancient. We will be building a trellis, a large structure used to grow garden plants. Food will be provided! Please check the sign up at the meeting for a flyer with more information and tools that will be needed. Please bring gloves.
Andrew Lyons Eagle Project – Compass Christian Church Day 1 – May 12 from 2-5. Cutting and moving sod and spreading mulch. Please let me know if you have experience with a sod cutter, or have a truck and can pick up and return the sod cutter. Day 2 – June 15 from 9-6. Putting up a fence. If you have experience using an auger, let me know.
Life to Eagle Seminar The Dan Beard Council will be having a Life to Eagle seminar on May 15th from 6:30pm – 8:15pm at the Scout Achievement Center. The purpose of the Life to Eagle Seminar to help clear up any confusion Scouts, Parents and Leaders might have about the process of earning Eagle. Topics covered are: “How to pick an Eagle Project and what makes a good Eagle Project”, “Skills for how to lead your Eagle Project.”, “Project Workbook and the Eagle Rank Application.” Sign-ups close May 10th.
