PLC PLC meets this week at 5:30pm at the picnic shelter. A pizza dinner will be provided. Please let your SPL know if you can’t make it.
Meeting this Week We will be meeting outside this week at the troop shed and the picnic shelter.
NOTE: There will be no troop meeting on June 27th due to summer camp or July 4th due to the holiday.
Summer Camp Summer Camp is right around the corner! Who’s ready for some fun?
Here are some very important last minute details.
PLEASE READ – some adults have assignments
Sunday June 23rd 10:00 arrive at the shed 10:15 we will be attending church service at Heritage Presbyterian Church ( We attend service as a show of appreciation for the church supporting Troop 750 )
( For those not attending service: Arrive at the shed at 11:15 )
1. Take your footlocker to the big trailer ( Mr. Zumkehr ), any loose items can be placed in the Troop trailer ( Mr. Kehl ) NOTE: Due to Rain, When packing your footlocker, Place your items in plastic bags to protect from water. ( We place the lockers on their end when putting them on the trailer so they all fit. Footlockers are not waterproof when stored on their side.)
2. Take medicine to: Matt Goodrich for the boys, Jen Ponstingle for the girls NOTE: Place your scout’s medicine in a one gallon ziplock bag. All medicine must be in it’s original container, unexpired. Place inside the bag, an index card, with: Name, prescription, dosage amount and time administered. NOTE: UNEXPIRED EPI-PENS AND UNEXPIRED INHALERS WILL REMAIN WITH YOUR SCOUT. * we will make medicines available throughout the day, BUT, it is ultimately your scout’s responsibility to come take their meds * we will not administer expired medicine
3. Forms: Beverly Schuessler will collect any late forms. *Note: all forms have already been submitted to camp. We will make every effort to get any late forms to the appropriate people. * Code of conduct MUST be signed by the scout AND parent to attend camp ( I am missing quite a few ) * Special Diet request forms should have been turned in already (2 weeks out)
11:30 : Lunch will be provided by the Troop. Subway, chips & water ( vegetarian options available )
12:30 Leave for Camp Friedlander NOTE: We have 62 participants and will need help transporting to and from camp. Please email Ben Zumkehr (zumkehrb@gmail.com) if you are able to drive scouts down on Sunday, pick them up around 9am on Saturday, and how many open seat belts you have.
1:00 Arrive at camp – I will check our Troop into camp – Add/Drop for badges will be with Mrs. Ponstingle and Mrs. Bouche’ – We will tour camp – Set up our camp ( Kroger A & B ) Jack Kangas will have cabin & tent assignments – We will distribute a copy of badge selections and blue cards to all scouts Mrs. Ponstingle and Mr. Goodrich – t-shirt orders will be distributed in camp
NOTES: – when traveling to camp, carry a drawstring bag with rain gear, sunscreen and water bottle – OA members remember to bring your sash – OA members who have completed their ordeal in Spring/Summer 2018 will complete their Brotherhood on Wednesday ( $20 ) – Mail: If you wish to send mail please send before Tuesday or it may come after we get home. OR you may send it with us. Note: postcards will be read out loud, so….if you want to have some fun…. – New this year, scouts will get a passport to work on throughout the week to earn a centennial patch Adult leaders may also participate for $8 – REMEMBER scouts NO electronics. THIS INCLUDES PHONES. Please leave them at home. DAILY THEMES: America Monday – Show your patriotism by wearing anything patriotic! Tube Sock Tuesday – Lets see those goofy socks! We all have them! Wacky Hat Wednesday – Lets see something original and fun! Centennial Thursday – Be creative! Family Friday – This is also OA Friday, wear your OA sash! We will be looking into giving a Baden Powell Award to the patrol with the most enthusiasm

Troop Reimbursements As a reminder, if you have any purchases on behalf of a patrol or the troop for an event (i.e. food for a patrol, reserving a campsite), the deadline to request reimbursement is one month after the end of the event.
