Jason Clabbers Eagle Project Hello, this is Jason Clabbers and I have my eagle project April 19th and 20th. I am building 10, 6-8 foot flat wood benches for Fort Ancient.
On Friday, April 19th I am going to need a couple of older scouts and adults as this day is mainly harvesting the heavy, large trunks for my benches. I have one adult who can use a chainsaw that has proper training but I would like another as well. If anyone has proper training of a chainsaw please contact me. On Friday we will also be harvesting the wood for the legs of the bench as well.
On Saturday, April 20th, I am constructing the benches, here I would need about approximately 8 scouts and 4 adults. I will be making the legs of the bench shorter sections of the body of the bench, which will be drilled onto the bench the opposite direction in order to support the bench.
Please contact me at clabbersja@gmail.com (mailto:clabbersja@gmail.com) if you can come, it would be greatly appreciated.
Philmont 2020 Updates There will be a meeting for all adult leaders attending Philmont in 2020 during the meeting on April 25th (delayed a week from last week’s announcement of the 18th). Please email Ben Zumkehr if you can’t attend.
Mulch Delivery Day Please make sure you have your calendar blocked for April 27^th, mulch delivery day. We will start at 7am and hope to finish by 8pm. We will need as many hands as possible to make it a successful close to our fundraiser. Mr. Kehl will be coordinating the delivery trucks and scouts. If anyone has a pickup truck they would drive and or a trailer that we could use for the day would be greatly appreciated. We will also need drivers for chase cars to drive scouts around to help unload the trucks.
Mulch Sale We have one week left to sell. Sale closes on April 18^th at the end of our Troop meeting. Please make sure you have talked to all the previous customers and double back with any potential customers. If you had any customers say they would buy on-line and you don’t know if they did, stop by on Thursday evening and we can check your sales quickly for you. We still have some free territories if you want another to cover. We will also have more flyers at the meeting if you need them. Keep knocking on those doors!
