This Week’s Meeting Theme
This week’s meeting will be outdoors (dress appropriately and consider a water bottle!!!). Unfortunately we do not have access to the gym this week.
Congratulations to our new SPL and leadership team!
Congratulations to Christopher Radle for being selected as our new SPL, and congratulations to the new leadership team. Should be a terrific six months! If you are still looking for a leadership position and are interested in being a Den Chief, please contact Mr. Vieux. If you need a troop position for advancement, this is a great opportunity to represent Troop 750 and share your Scouting experience with Cub Scouts.
Next Outing
For our next outing, we are going biking on the bike trail near Yellowsprings, Ohio August 25th – 27th. The campout will be held at John Bryan State Park. Note: Both road bikes and mountain bikes are welcome. Helmets and water bottles will be a must. We’ll have a fast group and a more leisurely group, so all skill levels are welcome. After biking we’ll visit the world famous Young’s Dairy for some great ice cream! Cost will be $30 per person and sign-ups will be at the meetings.
We have a great fall planned as well. September is a rock climing campout, October we will be attending the Fall Camporee at Camp Friedlander, and November we will be returning to Ft. Ancient and Big Al’s Turkey Campout the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Trade Skills Day
Trade Skills Day at Camp Friedlander will be Aug. 26 from 8 -5. Cost is $30 per Scout. Unfortunately this is the same weekend as our troop campout. If you are not attending the campout and are interested, they are offering all the hands-on requirements for the Welding, Electricity, Plumbing, Metal Working, Painting and Auto Maintenance merit badges. Scouts can pick one merit badge for morning session and one in afternoon. Lunch will be provided.
