May Campout
Our May survival-themed campout will be at Hueston Woods State Park up near Oxford this weekend. We’ll meet at the church at 5pm this Friday and hope to be back at the church by 9:30 this Sunday to allow everyone time with their family for Mother’s Day. Cost is $30. You can still see Mr. Washington this Thursday to sign-up.
May Backpacking Trip
Our May backpacking trip will be to Carter Caves State Park in Kentucky. Meet at the church at 5pm on Friday the 18th and expect to get back around 1pm on Sunday the 20th. Cost is $10 payable to Mark Washington. This trip is open to all scouts who are second year or above. See Mr. Zumkehr for more information.

Summer Camp June 24-July 1
The second payment of $145 is due this Thursday, May 10.  Payments should be given to Mark Washington.
Medical Form Part C, a physical with doctor’s signature and including copies of both sides of your insurance card, are due on June 1 to Mrs. Hilbert.  Get those doctor’s appointments scheduled.
COPE, Cowboy Action, Early Release, Diet Request and Scuba forms are due to me by June 1.  All forms can be found at under Camp Friedlander forms.
A reminder that merit badge schedules were distributed two weeks ago.  I highlighted badges that have pre-requisites. Make sure you review those requirements and start your pre-work. Get blue cards from Mr. Gormly and check the troop website for a list of merit badge counselors.  If you have questions about pre-work or need help connecting with a counselor, come see me.

We are working on rescheduling another swim test date. Tentatively we are looking at June 10 from 2-3 at the Mason Community Center. We hope to have that confirmed soon.

Hopewell Fundraising Event
Join your local Hopewell Boy Scouts in support of the Preparing America’s Patriots fundraiser held at Jaguar Land Rover Cincinnati on 5/11. The evening includes, viewing of The Eyes of Freedom: Lima Company Memorial, a silent auction, Land Rover Obstacle Course, great food, and guest Keynote speaker Brian Thomas of 55KRC.  If you would like more information or to attend for free, please see Matt Scherocman –
