Troop 750 has many active programs, including monthly campouts, a yearly summer camp, jamborees, backpacking trips, high adventure trips around the United States, and opportunities for scouts to earn merit badges.

“The open-air is the real objective of Scouting and the key to its success.”
– Lord Baden-Powell

Troop 750 provides monthly opportunities for scouts to experience camping. We’ve been climbing at Torrent Falls, horse back riding in Indiana, caving in Kentucky, and much more.

Summer Camp

“A week of camp life is worth six months of theoretical teaching in the meeting room.”
– Lord Baden-Powell

Troop 750 attends a week long summer camp every year. While at summer camp, scouts have the opportunity to earn merit badges, participate in activities with scouts from other troops, and receive leadership training. Troop 750 routinely goes to Camp Friedlander, but has also spend a week at the Blue Ridge Scout Reservation in Virginia.

Starting in their second year, scouts in Troop 750 have the opportunity to go on monthly backpacking trips. The goals of the backpacking program are to increase a scout’s self-sufficiency, grow their skills in the wilderness, and promote self-confidence. Locations we’ve been backpacking include Red River Gorge, Tar Hollow State Park, Shawnee State Park, Wayne National Forest, the Appalachian Trail, and many more.

High Adventure

Troop 750 provides opportunities for scouts who are 14 and older to go on high adventure trips. Scouts have been camping and snorkeling in the Florida Keys and backpacking both along the Appalachian Trail and in the Rocky Mountains of northern New Mexico.
