Troop Tribune for February 28th

Troop Tribune

Meeting This Week
This week we will have the kick-off for our annual mulch fundraiser. We will be meeting in the sanctuary, so please enter the church through the front doors, not the preschool wing. The meeting will end at 8pm instead of 8:45pm.

PLC will meet in the church library at 5:30pm this week.

Mulch Sale
The Mulch Sale Kick-off Meeting is scheduled for this Thursday in the church sanctuary during our normal troop meeting time. Scouts and parents, please plan to attend to hear about this year’s fundraiser. Remember that 80% of the profits go directly into the scout accounts to help pay for your scouting activities. The other 20% goes to the troop to pay for the tents, stoves, and troop activities like the December lock-in. We will have the territories, sales flyers, and selling information that each scout will need to be successful selling this year. We will walk through the sales information, prizes, and key dates during the meeting.

Also mark your calendar for March 2nd. This is the Troop Mulch Sale Day where we hope to get our scouts out selling the first Saturday of the sale to kick-start our fundraiser. More details at the kickoff meeting. Look forward to seeing everyone on the 28th.

Activity Interest Survey
To help plan fun activities and events, we need to know what you want to do. This is your chance to provide input to the PLC before they sit down to plan out the troop activities for the year. Please click the link below to take the survey. It should take you five minutes or less. <>

Troop Leadership Training (TLT)
Training for all scouts newly elected to a troop position / patrol leader. We will be meeting at the church this Saturday, March 2nd, from 2:30pm – 6:30pm. For scouts going straight from the mulch sale to TLT a small snack will be provided, and a pizza dinner will be provided for all attendees. If you cannot attend, please let your SPL Jack Kangas know. If you’re a patrol leader and cannot attend, please speak to your assistant patrol leader about attending.
